About Us
We’re committed to using locally-grown produce in our recipes. Using locally-grown produce allows us to make a better tasting product while supporting our local farms and the local economy.
Can our products taste good, build a community and improve the environment? We think so. In addition to using locally-grown produce, here’s how we’re making it happen:
- We participate in local farmers’ markets, school shows, local festivals and more. Typically, these events require fees and percentages of sales so we put money directly into the local economy. We love that communities come together and celebrate these events and we feel privileged to be a part of them.
- We’re socially and environmentally conscious in our practices too. We seek out sustainable, fair-trade and organic products. Whether we’re buying jar labels or retail bags, we strive toward a responsible corporate model. We want to lessen our environmental footprint. It’s not easy and not always economical but it never goes without thought. We’re big on planting the seeds of change and we let all our suppliers know that’s part of our mission.
- Education is near and dear to us. We want you to know and love the products we love to make so you’ve been warned: we may talk your ear off. Whether it’s a product idea, a recipe using our products or an environmental issue; were ready to tell you about it. Customer education, for a company like ours that is proud of its products and choices it makes, well … makes us a bit chatty.
